"Rock of Ages" has got its first trailer. Centering on a famous rock star, Stacee Jaxx, tackled by Tom Cruise, the video shows how he charms a bunch of girls with his music and bad-boy persona. One of those who falls for him is a small town girl named Sherrie who is played by Julianne Hough. She's seen fainting when running into him by the door of a club.
In addition to previewing the first meeting between Sherrie and Stacee, the clip also gives a peek at Catherine Zeta-Jones as a leader of conservative women who get into action to shut down rock music club, the Bourbon Room, due to "sex and hateful music." She voices her protests to the press by shouting to the camera, "This club is totally out of control."
Set on the Sunset Strip during the 1980's era, "Rock of Ages" follows a story of Sherrie Christian as she meets a big city rocker in L.A.'s most famous rock club. Directed by "Hairspray" helmer Adam Shankman, it additionally stars Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Diego Boneta, Malin Akerman and Alec Baldwin. The star-studded film is slated to hit theaters in the United States on June 1, 2012.
